Holistic Kids

Founder of Holistic Kids, passionate about helping families discover the many holistic options available to support their children’s wellbeing. With a background in social work and children’s wellbeing, I believe in looking at the whole child across cognitive, physical, emotional, social and spiritual health. I’m equally passionate about creating opportunities for holistic practitioners to be seen, valued and connected with the families searching for what they offer.

Holistic Kids

Holistic Kids is an online community hub connecting families with holistic practitioners, products, events and resources that support children and families.

We bring together a diverse range of modalities across the five pillars of wellbeing: cognitive, physical, emotional, social and spiritual, helping families discover options they may not have known existed and make more informed choices for their children.

At the same time, we support holistic practitioners and aligned businesses to increase their visibility, connect with families and grow thriving, sustainable practices.

Our vision is simple: to create a trusted ecosystem where families can explore their options and holistic businesses can be discovered.

Because when businesses shine, our children thrive.

Distinguished and Famous people from Colac

🌟 Cliff Young

Cliff Young's connection with Colac includes the running track at Memorial Square and events inspired by his ultramarathon achievements. Before his celebrated Sydney-to-Melbourne victory in 1983, he attempted a thousand-mile record on a purpose-made track in the town. Colac subsequently hosted major endurance events in his honour. More than four hundred people attended his local memorial service in 2003. His farming home was at Beech Forest in the surrounding district; Colac became an important centre for the running legacy that followed his success.

📚 Nina Carr

Nina Carr served as senior mistress at Colac after returning from an exchange year in England. She later established Mentone Girls’ School and led Mac.Robertson Girls’ High through years of social change. At Mac.Rob she listened seriously to students and negotiated questions about uniforms, prefects and participation in public debate. Her approach linked academic standards with personal responsibility rather than relying only on rules. Years spent teaching and managing different schools helped shape a principal who understood that education for girls had to respond to a changing world.
